Student Scholarship Organization Tax Credit Program!

Wouldn’t it be great if everyone had the financial capability to attend a private Christian school? GREAT NEWS……….We have an easy way for you to help these children and families in our community! 

The Way Christian School has chosen to participate in the Student Scholarship Organization Tax Credit program that the State of Montana began in 2022. The Montana Tax Credits for Contributions to Student Scholarship Organizations program allows individuals and corporations to claim a 100 percent tax credit for contributions to approved student scholarship organizations (SSOs)— nonprofits that provide scholarships for private school and tutoring.

 The total amount of tax credits awarded statewide is limited to $2 million in 2023 and each year beyond. A tax credit directly reduces the amount of tax you owe, giving you a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability. The benefits of a tax credit are greater than a tax deduction. 

                                  IMPORTANT 

This program is gaining in popularity and the State of Montana has placed a Threshold amount of $2,000,000. These tax credits are expected to go quickly on the first business day of January.
