Student Scholarship Organization Scholarship and Tax Credit

Scholarships from this student scholarship organization may be used at any qualified education provider of the parent’s or legal guardian’s choice. 

The Way Christian School is a Student Scholarship Organization (SSO) under the Montana Department of Revenue’s Student Scholarship Organization Tax Credit.    For a list of qualified education providers, visit:  https://svc.mt.gov/dor/educationdonation2/

The Way Christian School awarded SSO Scholarships to students of The Way Christian School last year.  Through this program and generous donors, we hope to have funds available for SSO Scholarships for the 2026/2027 school year also. 

Scholarship Application and Award Process:

1. Download the application and information letter below.

2. Fill out the SSO Scholarship Application and write a 100 to 300 word cover letter to our Scholarship Committee.

3. Seal your application and cover letter in an envelope and slide it into the locked, black drop box in the school office by March 1st.

4.  The Scholarship Committee will consider each application individually.  Families will be notified by phone and email during the first week of may if they have been awarded a scholarship.

Donors interested in receiving the Tax Credit:

1. Download and Complete the Donation Form below.

2. Donate by check between January 1st and January 21st, 2026.

3. The school will submit your donation information to the MT Department of Revenue on January 21st, 2026.

4. Upon pre-approval, you will receive a confirmation and Tax Credit Receipt from the MT Department of Revenue.

5. Claim the credit on your 2026 Montana State Tax Return.
